Water Levels

What a great day in Peak's Mill... warm and almost sunny! The doors to the shop are open today to let that warm breeze float through. Also, we have our first open pool session of the year tonight, from 4-6, at the Pavilion in Georgetown. Bring your boats and gear, or use some of ours, and come play in the pool. Where else can you paddle in short sleeves this time of year!

What a great new year it was. It is now time to start gearing up for the 2009 season. We start our winter pool sessions this Sunday, at the Pavilion in Georgetown. They are from 4-6 in the evening, and we charge nothing for our end of the deal. However, the pool charges a $10.00 use fee, so be sure and pay at the desk when you come in. Use this warm water chance to work on rolling, paddle strokes, or just come for a good workout. These are offered every other Sunday through March. You can give us a call or email if you need directions.

Thanks for making 2008 a great year for us! We know that times are tough, and we appreciate the fact that you bring your hard earned money to us, to provide you with a little rest, relaxation, and family time. That is an extreme honor for us, and we hope to be able to continue to make those times good ones for you. We look forward to seeing you on the water in 2009!

It has held up for a beautiful day! Get out and get on it while it is up. It is a great whitewater level, and the lower stretches should make for a fun float today. Highs in the70's... man, I can't believe I am stuck in the shop! Also, we have created a new forum page on our website. There is no log in required! Check it out. It is in the main menu on the right side of the page, towards the bottom, called Canoe Kentucky Live Forum (you may click here as well). Use it often to keep up on happenings on the creek.

Merry Christmas from all of us. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas season. If you do want to get out and do some paddling over the next couple of days, the creek should be going up pretty high. We would guess it around 5 feet, then back down. Please be cautious of cold water as well as lots of deadfalls. On last note. We will be open on Friday and Saturday, 11:00-3:00. We will be closed from Sunday, Dec. 27 - Jan. 1.
